Brit'ney Smith

Our Fitness Director, Brit’ney is ACE certified and carries a Pro Natal Specialist Certification allowing her to train women prenatal and postpartum. 


Brit’ney grew up in the hill country where she met her husband who was stationed at Fort Sam for training. Brit’ney has 3 children: two boys that are ages 1 and 5, and a little girl that is 2. She says she loves chasing them around and finding new ways to seek adventures such as hiking trails in the area and going cycling with them.



Carolyn Woollard

Carolyn has lived in River Crossing since 2007, when her husband was assigned to Fort Sam Houston, and they have since retired here. She has always been involved in physical fitness, to include ballet for 15 years, swimming/lifeguarding, running, weight training and yoga. She began doing Pilates 5 years ago on the Reformer apparatus. She moved to mat classes for the convenience of performing the exercise method anywhere at anytime. She was so impressed with the strength and conditioning the regimen provided, that she began Pilates instructor training 1 year ago. She has since been certified to teach the classical method of Pilates Core Mat I and II through Power Pilates, New York. 

Teneile Fountain 

Teneile Fountain has been a member of River Crossing Club for 10 years and has been an active member of Body Burn. She graduated from Texas ATM in 2001 with a degree in Nutrition and works in Medical Sales. She recently completed her Group Fitness Instructor Certification through ACE. She believes balancing health and wellness is just as important as family, friends, and work. She has been married for 21 years and has a 16 year old daughter (ballerina) and a 14 year old son(baseball player). She’s very involved in the community including the Seth Strong Foundation. You may have seen her walking the streets with her adorable golden doodles and/or her friend.


Christiane Govan

When living in Los Angeles, Christiane spent her free time doing what she loved most, exercising and yoga classes. After a long exhausting career in Advertising, she moved to Hill Country in 2015 and decided to train as a Yoga and Fitness Instructor. She is a Certified Instructor through YOGAFIT and Silver Sneakers (Body Sculpting, Yoga & Pilates).



Adaia Garcia Engrav

Adaia has been a certified Zumba Instructor since 2009. Her love for Zumba shines through in every class she teaches. Her method to teaching Zumba classes is simple: Every class feels like a party! She holds numerous Zumba licenses to include Zumba Gold, Zumba Gold &Toning, Aqua Zumba, Zumba Kids and Zumba step. 


Elaine Barclay-Rakosky

Elaine began her yoga journey over 25 years ago, she originally began practicing as a way to reduce stress. She then discovered how it significantly helped heal a debilitating illness. After 30+ years of ICU nursing, she retired and in 2015. She began teaching yoga to continue helping others learn how to reclaim their health and happiness. She is certified in Pre & Postnatal yoga, advanced yoga studies, injury recovery/prevention, adaptive yoga, and meditation.
